Scattered all along the the Island are billions of seashells. Every single seashell is unique and there are no two shells alike. There are lots of ways to find shells on the Island. You can go to one of the many shell shops and buy some really neat ones, or you can go to the beach or the bay and hunt for some yourself. Shells also make a great inexpensive momentos of your vacation. A great place to find shells is north of the Island where you can find really nice sand dollars. The fewer the people, the greater amount of luck you will have to be the first one to find them. Searching during low tide is the best time to go shell hunting. Sea shelling is a great hobby to embark on and fun for all ages. |
