Every year hundreds and thousands people travel to sunny South Padre just to kick back and relax along the thirty mile stretch of warm sands and clear waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Of course the beach is the most popular attraction on the island. Don't worry about going through the hassle of carrying heavy umbrellas and dragging chairs to sit down and have some shade. Umbrellas and chairs are already set up even before most people wake up and are available for rent. Of course the sun is always free to give you a great tan but make sure you don't stay out too long! Everyone is prone to get a sunburn if exposed for a long period of time. Make sure to have plenty of sun block on hand. Water temperature is a great 82-85 degrees Fahrenheit during the summer months, perfect for going for a dip to cool off . So grab a cooler with your favorite beverage and make sure to kick back, watch some waves, and RELAX!
