Underwater hunting or (spear fishing) is a fun way to fish. Only experienced underwater fishermen should partake on this activity. Spear fishing today employs modern and effective elastic- or pneumatic-powered spear guns that slings a spear toward the fish. Spear fishing may be done using free-diving , snorkeling , or scuba diving techniques. Usually spear divers hunt between 5 and 25 meters underneath the water. A popular spot to spearfish is at the Jetty ship channel at Island Blanca Park. There are no known underwater fishing guides on the Island available at the moment. |
