No motor vehicles are allowed on the south end of South Padre. Vehicles are allowed about five miles north at beach access six for a small fee. A good idea would be to have a four wheel drive vehicle due to the sandy terrain. This is a fun and exciting adventure to add to your agenda. There are more than thirty miles of undeveloped coastline and lots to explore . If you have a two wheeled vehicle it is possible to explore the north end but easier to get stuck. Don't worry if you don't have or didn't bring your four wheel drive vehicle, there are places that offer Jeeps, Dunebuggies , and fun beach vehicles to rent. For more information check out the links below and plan your Four Wheel Drive Adventure now. |
