One of the best thrill rides on the beach is the banana boat. This is an eight passenger inflatable towable that is pulled with a waverunner or jetski in and out of the waves of the Gulf of Mexico. For a fee between fifteen and twenty dollars one can experince the thrill of going over and under the waves and out to open water. While your out on the boat you can experience a great view of the Island by water. Make sure you know how to swim since there is a good chance you can fall off of the boat into the water, but that's half the fun. Everyone is wearing a Coast Guard approved lifejacket and all waverunner operators are United States Coast Guard Merchant Mariners.
